"American Psycho" is a brilliant movie. This movie has it all: drama, comedy, mild action, sex... everything. Oh and lots of death and murder. Christian Bale is Patrick Bateman. Who is an attractive, successful, stylish businessman that has it all, money and a gorgeous fiancée but something isn't right. Underneath all of that success is a disturbing and crazy man who actually does something instead of hiding behind a fake face. Not that he doesn't show sarcasm, he shows a lot, but instead of letting someone get in his way or surpass him, he takes things into his own hands. A prime example (extremely hilarious) would be a business associate who is working on a better case and has a better business card. Yes that is right, a better business card. Well Bateman gets his "friend" drunk and then they go back to Bateman's very stylish and modern apartment. Then Bateman proceeds to talk about Huey Lewis and The News and their hit, Hip to be Square. He blasts the song and strikes a very shiny axe to his colleague's face. It might not sound funny, but once you actually watch that specific part in the movie, you will understand its dark humor. There is another funny scene consisting of a nude Bateman running after a woman. Except he is all bloody and carrying a chainsaw, classic. It seems that Bateman has it all with all of the perks and success, but you find out how unstable and crazy he actually is and what he does. Also, he says something about not being able to control himself and that he isn't all there. So I highly recommend this movie, it hits on some many different levels. Just one question, did he really commit all those murders?
Speaking of Christian Bale, "Batman Begins" is another fabulous film. This film is simply great, maybe even better than the first. The Batman gadgets and car are present as well as the rich and wealthy side of Bruce Wayne. I see Bale as a better Wayne than Batman but he pulls both roles off fantastically. They gave just enough of a background story about Wayne and how he became Batman, which is important, without slowly the movie down too much. I especially liked the villain in this one, Dr. Jonathan Crane or the Scarecrow, who uses people's fears against them. The ending scene seemed unrealistic but something about this movie made that ok. It seemed right out of the comic book and that made it all the better. I can't really explain it, but other than it was what I expected. So I recommend this great movie and again I have another question. Can Batman really control bats?

Red vs. Blue – Episode 63
"Do you like Huey Lewis and The News?" - Patrick Bateman
"They're OK." - Paul Allen
"Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically." - Patrick Bateman
[leaves to put on rain coat and get axe]
"The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consimante professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour." - Patrick Bateman
"Hey Halberstram." - Paul Allen
"Yes, Allen?" - Patrick Bateman
"Why are their copies of the style section all over the place, d-do you have a dog? A little chow or something?" - Paul Allen
"No, Allen." - Patrick Bateman
"Is that a rain coat?" - Paul Allen
"Yes it is! In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself." - Patrick Bateman
[raises axe above head]
"Hey Paul!" - Patrick Bateman
[he bashes Allen in the head with the axe, and blood splatters over him]
"TRY GETTING A RESERVATION AT DORSIA NOW YOU FUCKING STUPID BASTARD! YOU, FUCKING BASTARD!" - Patrick Bateman
